We are energy and everything is energy. We are constantly broadcasting energy. Dr Bruce Lipton, Developmental Biologist explains in the short video below, that if the energy we broadcast is light then this energy will cancel out any negative energy within and around us. Light energy transmutes dense energy. Dr Lipton explains how the energy of ‘feelings’ are more powerful than words. Energy lets us know if we are around people who are supporting us, or if we are around people whose energy doesn’t feel right for us. It’s good if we can learn to understand and read our own energy responses.
Our thoughts influence our energy?
We are born into an energy signature, each individual vibrating to their own unique energy. Our core personality resides in this energy and is influenced by life’s experiences and the impacts they have on our energy field.
Our energy vibration carries the thoughts and thinking of our parents, but while we may have been born with the imprint of their energies we do get to choose how we think. We have free will and as such we can wipe out any old imprints of energy that no longer suit us, all we have to do is simply override them with new thoughts. Whatever we choose to think will become a physical reality. Dr Caroline Leaf explains this in the short video clip below.
Responding to other peoples negative energy
All too often we react fearfully when we experience someone else’s negativity, this lowers our own vibration and we are then also vibrating negatively. We then become the very energy we fear – fear!
The best way to deal with another person’s negativity is to ensure we are in our core self, standing in our light. We can’t be in our light if we are fearful or judgmental – as these thoughts and emotions take us to a place of negativity. The only way to be light energetically is to have positive thoughts or neutral thoughts.

Refocus your thinking
A good way to refocus your thinking is to remove your thinking from the situation and focus your thoughts on something positive for you. You may wish to focus on your favourite dish and recall how you went through the recepie step by step – this takes your brain to a place of neutral thinking, and your energy responds accordingly. Or you may wish to recall a funny or happy moment, again recalling it in detail and your energy responds accordingly. Energy responses are instant.
We pass our emotional baggage on to the next generation
Dr Caroline Leaf explains in the video clip above, that whatever negative emotional baggage we are carrying if we don’t get rid of it it goes through the sperm and ova and into the next generation.
Learn to become aware of your energy
When we concern ourselves with other people and their issues in life then we are focusing on their energy, when we do this too often we become enmeshed in their emotions. Focusing on their negative energy promotes negative thinking within us, which in turn creates negative energy in our energy field. We do all this without even realising that we are doing it. Listening to a friend moan about her boyfriend, watching a depressing move, reading about other peoples dramas in life. These all take our focus and thinking to negative things and the resulting energy is negative.
Learning to go inwards helps us see the bigger picture, it helps us remove ourselves from their thoughts and thinking. We can easily identify when our energy has become enmeshed or entangled with another person’s emotions. We can override any negative thoughts we have with positive thoughts. We can then raise our own energy vibration and as a result no longer vibrate to the negative energy they are vibrating to. Vibrating at a lighter energy level means we are unlikely to get sucked into their dramas and sagas in life.
This teaches us to be mindful of our mind as our thoughts create our reality. Simply put, if we don’t mind then it won’t matter!
Being grounded is crucial if we want to feel fully present in our own body. Being grounded means we are strong in our energy and are therefore unlikely to be negatively affected by other people’s energy. Being grounded ensures we have an outlet for any negative emotions that may surface for us.
Have a clear out of people who drain you of energy
Take responsibility for the energy that you have allowed to be brought into your space.
