In his book Love As A Way of Life Gary Chapman uses the vivid metaphor for words as being either ‘bullets or seeds’. He explains in his book, if we use our words as bullets with a feeling of superiority and condemnation, then we are not going to be able to restore a relationship to love. However, if we use our words as seeds with a feeling of supportiveness and sincere good will, then we can rebuild a relationship in a positive and life-affirming way.
We are sensory beings, we feel whatever it is that we are thinking, we are thinking in line with what we are feeling. We must align our words, our tone of voice, the expression of our eyes, our body language, and our actions with our inner awareness and do this in an honest exchange. Only then can our words make a sick spirit healthy, only then can our words heal.
All I can say in relation to the video below is ‘wow!’ This video shows how when we change our words, we change our world.
Dr Masaru Emoto’s scientific experiments with water have proven that the conscious thought, subconscious thought, feelings and emotions have a direct effect on the physical world – these may be transferred through the power of words, blessings, prayers, or just intentions. Truly Amazing and beautiful! The ancients knew this before our “modern” science proved it?
There is intentional abuse, but there’s also unintentional forms of abuse, but it also leaves a mark. So be very careful of the choice of words you use and how you use them. Teasing and name calling can have a huge impact on how people feel about themselves and have detrimental effects on their self esteem.
